How do I book?
Simply start a chat with us from our contact page. The vast majority of clients book over WhatsApp as it’s a secure platform and also allows us to message each other in the lead up to (and after) your wedding. We’ll check your date is still available, take a few extra bits of information and that’s it. The finer details we will check back with you closer to the wedding.
How much do I need to pay upfront / deposit?
For most bookings, a deposit of £150 is required to secure your date with the remainder not due until 28 days before your wedding. For weddings spanning multiple days, the deposit is payable for each day.
What payment methods are there?
We accept most major credit and debit cards online or bank transfer. For security purposes we do not accept cash payments.
Can I pay in instalments?
You can pay as frequently or infrequently as you like. As long as the full balance is paid in full by 28 days before the wedding, you’re fine.
What happens if I need to cancel or postpone?
Please check our full booking terms and conditions for complete details.
What happens if I want to change or upgrade my package?
Please contact us with the details as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate you where we can. Most upgrades are available subject to team availability. Downgrades may incur costs, particularly if you are reducing the number of team members attending your wedding.
My church or venue wants to charge me to have the service filmed or photographed — who pays for this?
It is the client’s responsibility to secure access and pay any licence or permit fees required. We do however pay for the music licence for your wedding film, which is separate to any venue charges.
Do you charge for travel?
Most packages within England and Wales include travel at no extra cost. Our Micro Wedding and Short ’N’ Sweet packages may incur travel charges outside a one-hour radius of DY6. Please contact us for details.
I’m having my wedding abroad — how much would it cost?
Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to provide a bespoke quote.
I really, really hate having my photo taken…
With my relaxed, candid approach, I can be as involved or as unobtrusive as you like. If you don’t want posed photos, that’s absolutely fine. Even my “posed” shots are usually no more than a relaxed walk and a chat around your venue. Many packages include an optional engagement shoot, which is a great way to see how easygoing the experience is.
I also hate being filmed…
For the vast majority of the day you can simply enjoy yourselves — filming is done naturally and unobtrusively, without turning your wedding into a production.
My church or venue does not allow any photography or filming…
Unfortunately, a small number of venues do restrict photography or filming. Before booking, it’s always best to double-check with your venue. Even if access is limited, we can still create a beautiful record of the rest of your day.
Where do you stand during the service?
Where possible, we aim to position ourselves at the front facing you both. Some venues have designated positions we must use, and certain layouts or décor choices can affect angles. We’ll always find the best possible viewpoint — and if you’d prefer us to capture the ceremony from behind you, just let us know.
Do you use flash or video lights?
We never use flash or video lights during the main ceremony. At other points in the day, lighting may occasionally be used if needed, although we always aim to work with natural light wherever possible. Please let us know if you or any guests are sensitive to flashing lights.
Do you attend the wedding rehearsal?
No. We arrive early on the wedding day to familiarise ourselves with the venue layout and speak with the officiant or event manager to ensure we’re following their guidelines.
Are my guests allowed to use their own phones to capture photos and video?
This is entirely your choice, but we do recommend an unplugged ceremony where guests keep phones in their pockets. We’ve seen occasions where enthusiastic guests unintentionally block the aisle just as the couple make their exit.
What happens if you’re sick on the day — can you get cover?
We’re part of a trusted network of professional photographers and videographers and can reach out to secure emergency cover if needed. In over 13 years, this has never been required — even when I once worked a full wedding day with broken ribs!
